Open Ground, Vehicle Access

Cars drive in. That is not a figure of speech: the lawns have been used for automotive displays with vehicles positioned on platforms across the ground, which means load-in for anything heavy is a matter of driving it to where it stands rather than carrying it through a doorway.

For a lifestyle or trade show that wants stalls, the same open ground takes a marquee layout you bring in. What the venue does not have is a permanent enclosed exhibition floor, so a show that needs a sealed, climate-controlled space is better served elsewhere and we would rather say so now.

Power, Which Is Usually the Deciding Question

Two generators cover the full event. For a multi-day show with lighting rigs and powered displays running from morning to close, backup power is the difference between a stand that works and a stand that goes dark in front of visitors, and the answer here is hardware already on site.

Footfall, Parking and the Road Outside

Guest cars are parked inside the grounds by the valet staff. For an exhibition this is an organiser's number rather than a guest comfort: visitors who cannot park do not come in, and a show on Old Padra Road without parking inside the gate loses footfall to the traffic.

Alkapuri is central Vadodara rather than an out-of-town ground, which is where public footfall for a consumer show actually is.

Multi-Day Runs

The grounds can be held for the full run of a show rather than released and reset each night, so a build that takes a day does not have to be struck and rebuilt. Tell us the run length and the layout and we will tell you honestly whether the ground suits it.

The Spaces
