Photographs from real weddings, receptions and exhibitions at Shivmahal Palace, Vadodara. The lawns seat 700-800 for dinner and hold up to 1,200 as a floating reception; the palace facade lights up at night and is what most couples end up using as their reception backdrop.

What You Are Looking At
Most of these frames are the open lawn, which is where the baraat arrives, the mandap stands and the reception is laid out. The ochre stone building behind almost every photograph is the 1936 palace itself; lit after dark it becomes the backdrop couples end up using for their reception stage and their photographs. The interior shots are the air-conditioned heritage hall, used for ceremonies, seated dinners and exhibitions.
Planning Your Own Setup
These are the wedding lawn and the banquet hall. The lawns take 700 to 800 guests seated and up to 1,200 as a floating reception, with 100 vehicles parked on site. Decor in these photographs was designed and installed by JJ Events & Decor, run by the same family. Bring your own decorator and caterer if you prefer; both are welcome.
