Shivmahal Palace Vadodara has stood near Chakli Circle on Old Padra Road, in Alkapuri, since 1936, when it was built as a Gaekwad royal residence. Some families spell it Shiv Mahal Palace, Baroda, using the city’s older name, and they are asking after the same address. It is still a family property rather than a hotel brand, opened for weddings and celebrations on the lawns, which seat 700 to 800 guests for dinner and hold up to 1,200 through the evening.
Most families book it as a party plot in Vadodara for the whole run of functions, taking the lawn for the haldi in the morning, the wedding at night and the reception the evening after.

Shivmahal Palace is a banquet hall and open-lawn party plot on Old Padra Road, Alkapuri - built in 1936 as the residence of Prince Uday Singh Rao, and used today for weddings, receptions, exhibitions and corporate functions.
It holds up to 1,200 guests, parks 100 vehicles on site, and sits fifteen minutes from Vadodara railway station - so out-of-town families are not stuck on the highway.

Nice place and well maintained by New Management. Best options for Events and Marriage functions. Parking and Restrooms are perfectly planned. Huge Lush green Area for functions and traditionally maintained Royal hall and Rooms are also excellent. Food quality is excellent and decorating also well designed.
